Eichberger Vandal Rey

Pierre Fabre has appointed Jean-Pierre Garnier General Manager of Pierre Fabre SA.

Thomas Eichberger has been chosen by Ing. Erich Pfeiffer to succeed Franco Lucà as President, the Beauty Division.

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. announced it has named Beth E. Ford Executive VP, Head of Supply Chain. She will report directly to Chairman and CEO Robert M. Amen.

Tony Sasso has been appointed Operations Director for Trilogy Fragrances Inc. Additionally, John Geiger has been appointed as a Perfumer.

Shield Packaging announced that Mike Vandal has joined the company as Quality Assurance Manager.

The Board of Directors of Clariant International Ltd has appointed Dr. Hariolf Kottmann as CEO, replacing Jan Secher, who plans to pursue new activities outside of Clariant.

Aveda Corporation announced that Emmanuel Rey has been appointed to the newly created role of General Sales Manager, North America. In his new position, Rey will be responsible for the development of Aveda's North American Salon/Spa, Retail, Education and Institute businesses. Also at Aveda, Vincenzo Minore was named Brand General Manager of Aveda UK and Ireland and Alfonso Emanuel was named Brand General Manager of Aveda Italy.

Arcade Marketing, a global developer and producer of multi-sensory and interactive sampling systems for the fine fragrance, cosmetics and personal care markets, announced the appointment of Debra Leipman-Yale as President of the company. Leipman-Yale will report to Marc L. Reisch, Chairman, CEO and President of Visant Corporation, Arcade Marketing's parent.

The Alberto-Culver Company has appointed Kenneth "Casey" Keller President, U.S. Reporting to V. James Marino, President and CEO, Keller will develop and execute strategy for the company's continued growth in its largest market, the U.S.
   Keller comes to the company with nearly 20 years of global consumer products management experience, including Motorola, where he most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive VP. At Motorola, Keller was responsible for company-wide marketing strategy and implementation.
   Prior to Motorola, Keller spent many years with HJ Heinz Company, most recently as Chairman and CEO of Heinz Italia. Earlier in his career, Keller also worked with Procter & Gamble in a variety of different marketing assignments.

Calvin Klein, Inc. announced several promotional changes. Tom Murry will now serve as the President and CEO of the company. Melisa Goldie has been promoted to Executive VP and Chief Creative Officer, CRK Advertising. Malcolm Carfrae's title has been elevated to Executive VP, Global Communications. Ellen Rodriguez was also recently named Executive VP, Global Licensing & Marketing and Pamela Bradford was elevated to Executive VP, General Counsel of the company.

DuPont announced its board of directors elected Ellen J. Kullman President and Director of the company. Effective Jan. 1, 2009, she will also serve as CEO. Charles O. Holliday, Jr., Chairman and CEO, will serve as chairman of DuPont and as a member of the board until Kullman's expected succession as chairman.

Alcan Packaging Beauty announced the appointment of Stéphane Tondenier as VP, Sales & Marketing for the Fragrance & Cosmetics Worldwide activity.

Reckitt Benckiser plc has appointed Joanna Speed Investor Relations Director, based in Slough, UK. In her new role, she will be the primary Investor Relations contact for the company and will work closely with the Finance and Corporate Communication & Affairs teams, reporting to Colin Day, CFO.

Obituary: Enrique Puig, Managing Director of Barcelonabased Antonio Puig Perfumes, a division of the Puig Beauty & Fashion Group, died Sept. 18 in Seville, Spain at the age of 68. Puig was a wellknown public figure in Spain, and an active member in the beauty industry as president of STANPA, the Spanish Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Association.
